She fell pregnant again and gave birth to their second daughter while in prison. A few days later the request was granted and they finally tied the knot.

They now live together in Seattle with their two teenager daughters. Besides two daughters from Fualaau, Letourneau has four children from her previous marriage. During the interview about their marriage Fualaau, now 31, called his marriage to Letourneau a “huge relief” and spoke of the depression he experienced as a teenager.
“I don’t feel like I had the right support or the right help behind me. From my family, from anyone in general. I mean, my friends couldn’t help me because they had no idea what, what it was like to be a parent, I mean, because we were all 14, 15,” he said. Letourneau added: “I don’t know if enough time will ever pass to take away what the media did to our story… It’s not our story.”
