The Presidency has assured Nigerians that if President Jonathan loses in the February elections, he would concede defeat and congratulate the winner, Daily Trust is reporting.
Dayo Adeyeye, the Minister of State for Works, assured Nigerians of this on a 'Politics Today' Channels TV program.
He was asked if president Jonathan would congratulate the winner of the forthcoming elections if he (Jonathan) lost, and Adeyeye said yes, he would.
His words: “Of course. President, in many cases we lost governorship elections, was always the first person to congratulate the winner even when the winner is not a member of our party. So, we believe in democracy.”
