Six members Peoples Democratic Party of the House of Representatives announced their defection to other political parties on Tuesday.
The defection came just as lawmakers reconvened from recess in Abuja.
Three of the defectors joined the All Progressives Congress, two joined the Labour Party, while one switched camp to Accord party.
