Gen Muhammadu Buhari's campaign team have contacted the Chatham House begging for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to be squeezed in to make a speech on the 26 of feb. 2015 10am to 11am. They are now desperately looking for some sort of damage limitation to dispel some of the accurate reports on his health and purpose of visit to London. They have called the Chatham house asking for space just for publicity purpose, and they are prepared to pay up to £2Million pounds for that privilege and opportunity.
But we doubt if the Chatham house will accept the bribe of £2million. They are more concerned about his health, than any other thing. They would probably ask any of the pre-booked speakers if they could give their slot to Buhari or Buhari team may go and bribe some of the speakers with a mouth watering offer that could run into millions of pounds. That is the only way they can get a slot. These things are booked months in advance. You can't just drop in like that and say i want to speak. This is Britain, not Nigeria. Many people are asking why did Gen. Muhammadu Buhari choose to come to London during the middle of his campaign in Nigeria? What are the electoral values of his visit, since the major issues that will decide the election is in Nigeria and you can not sell it to foreigners but only to Nigerians. They are the ones that need to be convinced, not Chatham House. For example, Nigerians want to see a live debate between the incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan, and his challenger General Buhari. They would like to see them speak directly to them in a live televised TV debate.
They also would like to see both men put into a rigorous questioning, so that they would be able to see deep inside them if they are trustworthy, honest, and capable of delivering on their promises. Since Buhari is the Challenger, Nigerians would like to see how he can withstand an intensive questioning on his alleged certificate forgery, Perjury, health issue, his understanding of how the economy works, age, his extremist views on religion, tribal sentiments, his policy on women's'rights and his democratic and human rights credentials. These issues can only be addressed to Nigerians in Nigeria, not in a packaged speech in London designed to deceive and misinform people without any question asked. Nigerians feel being cheated out and denied the opportunity to understand who the the real General BUHARI is. APC have been cleverly shielding Buhari from the harsh reality of politics, and instead resorted to despicable propaganda, lying, distorting facts, blackmailing the president, attacking and inciting mutiny in the army for their selfish interest, and insulting Nigerians intelligence.
All we are saying is "BUHARI COME BACK HOME AND DEFEND YOUR HONOUR IN A LIVE TV DEBATE IN NIGERIAN SOIL, NOT IN A CUNNING PACKAGED SPEECH IN LONDON" !
