Washington-based company Greenpoint Technologies have turned a Boeing 747 into something more akin to a superyacht than an aircraft — all for one extremely wealthy owner.
The jumbo jet, which normally carries up to 450 passengers, had its interior completely redesigned at a cost of $246 million to feature every luxury an air traveler could dream of. Add in the $350 million price tag for the jet itself, and the entire package set the unidentified owner back around $600 million.
The staggering sum netted the client a flying palace longer than two football fields, complete with regal master bedroom, massive dining/conference room, private office, and upper-deck VIP lounge that can be accessed by an elevator. The jet also features an “aeroloft” above the VIP lounge which has sleeping berths for 8 additional passengers.
Although no photos have been released, you can check out digital renderings of the design up top. We also included an unrelated photo of a 747 parked next to a more run-of-the-mill private jet to help you get a sense of scale.
