Maj Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, paid a visit to former president, Alhaji Shehu Shagari's residence in Katsina.

celebration of Alhaji Shagari flew to Sokoto to felicitate with Shagari
on the attainment of his 90th birthday was escorted by the Sokoto state
governor, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
Alhaji Shagari thanked him for visiting and in his response to Buhari request for support for his candidatureship in the March 28, 2015 Presidential election, He told Buhari that he is has give his blessing to President Goodluck Jonathan and wished the APC leader well in his aspiration.
Buhari overthrew Shagari's government during his civilian regime in a military coup on December 31, and the two have frosty relationship since them.
