Romping with a female fan – in the dugout – has led to a semi-professional footballer being sacked by his club.
Clitheroe striker Jason Hart was given his marching orders after making a new use for the bench, the Mirror is reporting.
The 24-year-old was filmed fornicating with a woman on a mobile phone shortly after his side’s 4-1 loss away at Evo-Stik Division 1 North rivals Mossley AFC. The face of the woman cannot be seen in the clip.
Footage of the passionate incident was quickly shared among team-mates, and within hours of scoring with the supporter, the whistle was promptly blown on Hart’s career with the Lancashire club.
To make matters worse, the fling took place after Mossley’s final home game of the season, which had been billed as ‘ladies day’ by officials in an effort to attract more female supporters to the club.
And while Hart quickly put the disappointing result behind him, Clitheroe chairwoman Anne Barker was not impressed.
‘We expect a certain level of behaviour and discipline, and that wasn’t it,’ she said.
Father-of-two Hart has since apologised, saying: ‘I’m full of regret. I’d had a couple of drinks.
‘I was away from everyone and thought I was hidden.’
