Banks Close

Most banks and business outlets in the Bayelsa State capital hurriedly closed for business with apologies to customers.

At the commercial banks including the Guarantee Trust Bank(GTB),customers were told that the bank closed for the day at about 12pm.

At the Aritalin area of the Bayelsa capital, Bureau de Change operators, made up of traders of northern origin, were seen closing down for business over alleged anticipated backlash if the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen.Muhammud Buhari is declared winner of the presidential election.

A drive around the Bayelsa State capital showed a city devoid of its usual heavy commercial activity as residents are either indoors glued to their television sets or outside in groups disc -using the recent results released at the national collation centre of the INEC in Abuja.
