Hopefully these are not the foods you obviously eat
everyday, but here is a list of the top foods that if you consume them
too often that could cause cancer.
1. Popcorn
These tiny little bags seem so tasty and nice, that you would most likely not suspect that they could have adverse effects.. And they are so easy to use – just put them into microwave and they are ready. But it is not so simple. Microwave popcorn bags has a chemical called perfluorooctanoic acid ( PFOA) which is a toxin. In increases the risk of kidney, bladder, liver, pancreas and testicular cancers.
2. Farmed fish
Yep, fish sounds like one of the healthiest products. But farmed fishes are to be avoided. The reason is their diet. Those fishes are fed with a lot of chemicals, antibiotics, pesticides, and other known carcinogens. They have less of the healthy omega-3 that we think we are getting when we eat fish, all due to their diet.
3. Potato chips
These crispy snacks are cheap and tasty. We all know that they contain too much calories. But some recent researches showed that they contain artificial flavors, numerous preservatives, and colors as well, which is something your body doesn’t need. And the worst one: to make them more crispy they add some acrylamide to them, a known carcinogen that is also found in cigarettes.
4. Highly slated or smoked food
These kinds of food are covered with nitrates. Despite the fact that nitrates do not cause cancer in and of themselves, sometimes, in certain conditions these chemicals change once they are inside the body into N-nitroso composites. It’s this N-nitroso that is associated with a greater increase the risk of developing cancers.
5. Diet foods
Food and drinks which are labeled “low-fat” are usually full of artificial sweeteners. These things are not causing cancer itself, but you can become addicted. Don’t forget that artificial food is not a real food. Be smart and eat nature’s own “diet” food: fruits and vegetables.
6. Alcohol
Alcohol is a second cancer causing product in the world. Yes, moderate or low consumption of alcohol can be healthy and lead to a reduced risk of heart disease, but overdoses are risky.
