Did you know having apple cider vinegar daily and using neem leaves can rid you of va.ginal odor?

Having slight va.ginal odor is common and you may observe changes depending on your menstrual cycle but having a strong odor such as fishy odor can indicate other health complications which may need immediate attention. Usually an abnormal va.ginal odor is accompanied by other symptoms like itching, burning, discharge or irritation. It could occur as a result of poor hygiene or mostly due to infections of the va.gina.

Bacterial infection of the va.gina called as bacterial vaginosis leads to abnormal or strong va.ginal odor. Other infection which causes this is trichomoniasis - which is a sexually transmitted infection. Chlamydia, gonorrohea and yeast infections cause changes in the va.ginal discharge but do not cause foul odor. Tampons retained for longer durations could also lead to foul odor and could cause other infections.

Sometimes va.ginal odor could also indicate serious conditions like cervical cancer and va.ginal cancers. However these are indicative only when they occur with other symptoms like changes in the va.ginal discharge and need to be tested for by a registered medical practitioner. Use of scented soaps and feminine products or douching can lead to a change in the pH balance of the va.gina thereby increasing the chances of infections and therefore should be avoided.
