See, when it comes to the bible, it is so consistent with the truth that there really is no room for confusion. Actually God is a God of order and one would expect to find nothing but consistency and order in His words.
The Pope in an address in New York said that “humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.“.
“I would like to express two sentiments for my Muslim brothers and sisters: Firstly, my greetings as they celebrate the feast of sacrifice. I would have wished my greeting to be warmer. My sentiments of closeness, my sentiments of closeness in the face of tragedy. The tragedy that they suffered in Mecca.”
“The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds. God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.”
Let that sink in.
So first the Pope identifies himself with “my Muslim Brothers and Sisters”. Now, don’t get me wrong, but I love muslims. I have Muslim brothers and sisters and friends. But in faith are Muslims our brothers and sisters?
“The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray” (12:26). We should stay away from foolish people (13:20, 14:7), from people who lose their temper easily (22:24), and from the rebellious (24:21).
Although these close relationships are not recommended, it does not mean we turn our noses up and ignore unbelievers, either. Second Timothy 2:24-26 tells us that as servants of the Lord, we are to be kind to and not quarrel with anyone. We should gently teach those who oppose the truth, and be patient with difficult people. Matthew 5:16 tells us, “Let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly father.” We should serve unbelievers so that they may see God through us and turn to Him in praise. James 5:16 says that there is great power in the prayer of a righteous person, so bring your concerns for unbelievers before God, and He will listen.
What does the Koran say about Non-Muslims?
(9:5And when the forbidden months have passed, kill the idolaters wherever you find them and take themprisoners, and beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent and observe Prayer and pay the Zakat, then leave their way free. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.
On unbelievers is the curse of Allah. – Sura 2:161

It is not for any Prophet to have captives until he has made slaughter in the land. – 8:67
Fight those who believe neither in God nor the Last Day, nor what has been forbidden by God and his messenger(Mohammed), nor acknowledge the religion of Truth(Islam), even if they are People of the Book (Christians), until they pay the tribute and have been humbled. – 9:29 (another source: ) The unbelievers are impure and their abode is hell. (another source: ) Humiliate the non-Muslims to such an extent that they surrender and pay tribute.
Are Christians infidels? YES TO MUSLIMS. Anyone that does not profess the Shahada is an idolater (worships another God that is nor Allah).
So from the scratch of it, Christianity and Islam are the stack opposites and both hold relationships with non-believers at ‘arms length’. For Christians, it is either to preach to the unbeliever or stay clear lest their influence compromises your faith. For the Muslims, well it says kill! (And the results, every 5 Minutes A Christian is Killed )
But how does the Pope then a man that professes Christianity call a Muslim his brother?
Well maybe because deep down, Islam and Catholicism are one? How?
Well for one, Muslims believe God cannot die.

“And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger –they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain”. S. 4:157
The closest Muslims come to the cross is admitting someone else was crucified or ‘it appeared to the people present’ that they crucified someone.
Now the Pope in His statement has said that ‘humanly speaking” Jesus died.
The common denominator in Islam and Catholicism is that “someone HUMAN” called Jesus died, but God did not die. (According to Islam God cannot die and now according to the pope just the ‘human’ Jesus died, not the “Jesus-Jesus”).
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22
So the Pope can justifiably call Muslims his Brothers and Sisters in faith. And which faith is that? Well the faith of the Devil.
Only Satan would choose to convince you to believe Jesus Christ did not die at the cross. Why? Because it is by the death of Christ at the cross that completes our salvation.

  3. I am not a supporter of Roman Catholicism. however, this article twists things. First off, muslims DENY CHRIST DIED AT ALL and the pope DOES NOT DENY CHRIST DIED. he merely says that 'humanly speaking" that is from a human materialistic secular i.e., unbeliever's values priority view, the cross was a failure. getting killed is a failure if it was not better than something worse. Getting killed so you can rise from the dead is not a failure. but that last statement of mine is not "humanly speaking," humanly speaking is avoid all stress pain and death no matter what. however, I DO NOT LIKE IT that the pope did not mention the Resurrection.

    1. We say that Jesus was risen up before they crucifed him and made Judas look like jesus and faces his torment since he was the one to betray Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him). If we can stop for a min. And think, and research instead of clinging to our pride and ignorance we can grow together as we should instead of pulling us apart. The pope has given you a tool to guide you into ur own research historically and religiously. Perhaps, your books were changes and it's not your fault. But its your fault when your given tools of enlightenment but you push them away because of your pride, presumption or clinging to what was taught to you without 100% truth or justification. Idk but one thing for sure, Muslims do believe in Jesus peace be upon him, Muslims do believe that he was risen, Muslims do believe that he is coming back again and in similar orders. It so much easier to be angry, believe what your told and have these ideas about someone or something. Is this from God?

    2. Ghanati... if Jesus killed over 600 people in 1 day, was a warlord, robbed caravans, married a 6 year old, had 13 wives, had sex with a dead Aunt, then there would be no Christianity, because nobody would follow such a vile sex crazed person...

  5. Arant nonsense whoever wrote this rubbish is a pure lunatic, please check your sanity. There is a limit to even madness, your quarrel is that he called Moslems brothers! Where did he say Jesus did not die on the cross? So people that don't share your in your faith are not your brothers and sisters, but it the same God that createdyou!? Then you are a pagan. Nonsense

    1. Catholics view of Allah. (CCC 841) The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims. These profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge in the last day. Really? Catholics claim kinship with the Monotheistic Muslims? This is another reason why Catholics are a cult, their belief system isn't based on the Bible...

  6. why did you remove Anifah Lawalakapo's comment ? at the author. Muslims and christines are not worshiping thesame GOD.Your pope still believes that Jesus is God while Muslims believe that there is no God worthy of worship except ALLAH

  7. I think this site is one of those sentimental journalistic sites aimed at driving traffic. Well, bottom line is, JESUS REMAINS AT THE CENTRE OF ALL HUMAN CREATION. WHEN YOU NAME YOUR DATE, WHETHER YOU AGREE IT IS AD OR CE, WHETHER YOU SAY AFTER CHRIST, OR FROM CEASAR AUGUSTUS, THE EQUATION HAS NO RELEVANCE WITHOUT JESUS. IF MUSLIMS BELIEVE IN THE RETURN OF JESUS, IT IS A SHAME FOR ANY ONE TO TRY TO CONTEND THAT IN ANY GUISE

    1. Mo said that if there is a contadiction in his teachings, then the most recent teaching prevails (abrogation) therefore the peaceful verses from Mecca are replaced by the violent verses from Medina. Which is why Islam is violent rather than peaceful, because Mo himself taught this...

  12. We muslims also have the ability to do the selective quoting in the bible. You can only fool the ignorant just like you. Taking the verses of the Koran from their context to justify your madness doesn't make you smart.

  13. Never talk about things you don't have full knowledge of, especially Qur'an. You are quoting Sura Al Tawbah but not the whole context, never play around with Qur'an... follow this link: https://www.alislam.org/quran/search2/showChapter.php?ch=9 if you dare and check for yourself what and why this is so, before just spread your ignorance...

  14. "...and nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, 'We are Christians,' because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant" Quran(5:82).What about this verse? You have to read the Quran in totality in order to understand its message, not taking a few isolated verses out of context in order to mislead your readers.

  15. I have seen this before, it was a speech given in spanish I believe, while I'm no follower of the pope, I have to clarify regarding what he said, otherwise I, as the person who wrote this articule is in danger of bearing false witness. What he said is correct, he never denied that Jesus died on the cross, he said that humanly speaking, Christs life ended in failure because he was crucified and died, to the world that is true, but to us as Christians we know that his death brought us forgivness from sin and relationship with God the father and the ressurrection brings us new and eternal life with him. Thats what he was saying, to the world he was a failure, but to us he is victorious.

  17. All verses quoted are either wrong or quoted out of context. Advise to those who really seeks truth. Check out the real source rather than relying on these haters

9:04 Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].
9:05 And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
9:06 And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah . Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.
9:07 How can there be for the polytheists a treaty in the sight of Allah and with His Messenger, except for those with whom you made a treaty at al-Masjid al-Haram? So as long as they are upright toward you, be upright toward them. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous
9:29 Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.

4:156 And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander,
4:157 And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.
4:158 Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.
4:159 And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness.

  18. Whoever wrote this is a complete moron. Islam does not view people of the book as unbelievers. Verse 5 of chapter 9, which is quoted out of context as usual, was referring to idolaters who were constantly oppressing and persecuting the muslims for 13 years. They are the unbelievers in that verse. Not Christians or Jews. And this still isn't enough context for that verse. Read up on Islamic history and read the entire Quran before writing a bigoted article like this. It's funny how Islam is so often attacked for being intolerant, when Muslims actually refer to Christians and Jews as believers, while many Christians trying to remain respectful still call Muslims unbelievers.
